A New Employee Joins the WHY Team

The Logan Lake Wellness, Health & Youth Society is pleased to announce that we have hired to fill new staff positions. With our planned move to a new facility and impending retirement of long time Managing Director Elaine Pennoyer we have restructured the organization to manage future growth. Part of this was the creation of two new employment positions of Executive Director and Wellness Director.

By the middle of May Michelle Hawkins will be leading our organization as the Executive Director and Sherri Perreault has accepted the position of Wellness Director.

Board President Dona Radomsky is happy to make these announcements and comments “With the move to our new facility combined with the new job positions, we are looking forward to the future of the Wellness, Health and Youth Society.”

Michelle says “I am so excited to be the new Executive Director of the Logan Lake Wellness, Health & Youth Society, an organization that has been a part of my life for many years. This organization has been instrumental in achieving a healthier and more balanced lifestyle for myself and my hope is that we can do the same for our community.”

Michelle has lived in Logan Lake for 15 years, has worked with us as the Better at Home Coordinator for the past year and served on the Board of Directors for 8 years. Michelle has a background in administration, management and nutrition.

Sherri has lived in Logan Lake since 2006, worked with us for 5 years and brings a wealth of knowledge in wellness and program management.

Elaine Pennoyer has worked with the Logan Lake Wellness, Health & Youth Society for 18 years and before that 10 years with the Logan Lake YMCA. She has been the driving force behind our growth, implementing new programs to meet the needs of the community. The Board of Directors appreciates her consistent passion and dedication to the community and wish her well in her future endeavours.
