Logan Lake Better at Home – Est. 2013
Better at Home is a program that was developed to assist seniors with non-medical, day-to-day tasks so that they can continue to live independently in their homes and remain connected to their communities. The Government of British Columbia funds Better at Home, United Way of the Lower Mainland manages it, and a local non-profit organization provides the services. Logan Lake Better at Home has been designed around the needs of the seniors that live within this community. The Logan Lake Wellness, Health & Youth Society was chosen as a pilot project for Better at Home by the United Way of the Lower Mainland and on October 1, 2013 Logan Lake Better at Home was established and given an operating budget of $50,000. Logan Lake Better at Home has provided close to 14,000 services to date. We look forward to providing non-medical home support to seniors within Logan Lake for years to come.
