Seniors Chair Class- Currently Postponed

Thursdays: 1:30pm - 2:15pm the 1st, 2nd, 4th & 5th Thursdays of the month

Cost: $0  Pre-Registration at the WHY is required.

Active Aging for seniors can be practised by almost anyone at any age.  The entry-level requirement for this class is simply the ability to breathe and to sit upright in a chair while gently moving the torso and limbs.  We will be exploring stretches and movement using bands, and other aids. 

 

The benefits of Active Aging for seniors are:

  • Better flexibility and range of motion

  • Increased blood circulation

  • Increased muscle strength

  • Less joint stiffness and pain

  • Better concentration & elevated mood

  • Lower levels of stress & anxiety
