Caralea Ayotte has been dancing for 10 years in a variety of dance styles.  Her dance training began at Akimbo Dance Studios at the age of 4, starting out in jazz but she soon became drawn to other styles such as Ballet, Lyrical, and Contemporary. In 2017, she was awarded the Thom Bell Memorial Scholarship which has given her the opportunity to expand her training even further into such styles as Hip-Hop, Tap, and Acro. Caralea has also completed her National Junior Jazz Examinations in 2014 and 2015 with the CDTA of BC and received a result of Highly Commended with a silver and a bronze. Since 2016 Caralea has traveled the province with her competitive dance team, participating in Festivals of the Performing Arts and SHINE Dance Festival. Her passion and her love for dance has allowed her the opportunity to be a Teacher Assistant for Junior Acro and Ballet classes in 2018 and 2019. For many years Caralea has participated in local Kamloops events including dancing in the Santa Claus Parade and engaging kids in creative movements at the Children's Art Festival. Caralea is committed and continues to devote herself to learning and expanding her knowledge and hopes to inspire young dancers and her students.
