Happy Grandparents

Better at Home is a program that was developed to assist seniors with non-medical, day-to-day tasks so that they can continue to live independently in their homes and remain connected to their communities. The Government of British Columbia funds Better at Home, United Way of the Lower Mainland manages it, and a local non-profit organization provides the services.

About Us

The Wellness Health & Youth Society was incorporated in July 2000, and is a non-profit organization.  The WHY offers recreational and social service programs to the rural community of Logan Lake (population approximately 2,300), creating a social hub and many volunteer opportunities.  Logan Lake is nestled in the heart of British Columbia’s Highland Valley, 320 kilometres from Vancouver, 49 kilometres from Merritt, and 55 kilometres from Kamloops.

"Calm mind brings inner strength and self-confidence, so that's very important for good health.
